Saphir is a very early piece..It's now in Paris on the wall of a famous french singer whose name is Felix Gray...but he is not internationaly famous i guess...
There are 3 ways to do sculpture.Removal,modeling or assemblage.For the last one many techniques are available.You may glue,tie,solder....
Collage is uselly used to describe a technique in which the artist cuts up various papers and stick it on a flat support

No, I´ve never heard of him, but he's lucky to own that piece :heart:
I've bin discussing that topic.... I always thought by reading about it, that assemblage is the 3D view of collage. It's sculpture yes, but related to collage... :confused: Anyway... assemblage is one of my favourite art styles and I think that DA should have a section for it... in collage or sculpture, whatever. If you want to leave your opinion at my poll or forum I'd appreciate it. Just go to the link below :)
